Lee Memorial Health System will join an estimated 1,000 national groups to celebrate the 21st Annual National Senior Health & Fitness Day (NSHFD) on May 28 at two official host sites.
The Wellness Center of Cape Coral will hold an Open House from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Guests are invited to stop by for some fitness and fun. Meet in the Yoga Studio at 9:30 a.m. to learn a few easy dance steps and then perform as a “FLASH MOB” at Cape Coral Hospital at 10 a.m. in the main lobby.
The SHARE Club will conduct a FREE Exercise Class at 12:30 p.m. at the North Fort Myers Recreation Center, 2000 Recreational Parkway, North Fort Myers. Then at 1:15 p.m. the group will participate in a “FLASH MOB” where they will perform in the main entrance area. Everyone is welcome to participate.
On this day, the Wellness Center of Cape Coral and the SHARE Club at the North Fort Myers Recreation Center will join with an estimated 100,000 seniors across the country expected to help promote active, healthy lifestyles through physical fitness, good nutrition and preventive care.

National Senior Health & Fitness Day is always held on the last Wednesday in May in support of Older Americans Month and National Physical Fitness and Sports Month.
