Susan Ryckman, MSN, CPNP, CENP, has accepted the position of Vice President of Patient Care Services for Golisano Children’s Hospital of Southwest Florida. Susan is responsible for directing and coordinating pediatric patient care through the implementation of best practice standards, and promoting safe, quality patient care and nursing services in a professionally supportive environment. Susan also serves as a staff, patient and family advocate in this role.
Since Susan joined Golisano Children’s Hospital of Southwest Florida over a year ago, she has demonstrated strong leadership skills as well as the ability to build collaborative relationships with physicians, patients, families, leadership, staff and co-workers.
“Susan brings excellent clinical and leadership skills which are essential for the continued development of programs and services for children in our region,” said Kathy Bridge-Liles, CAO of Golisano Children’s Hospital of Southwest Florida. “In addition, she will be an incredible asset providing support to the clinical team as we build the new Golisano Children’s Hospital.”
Prior to coming to Golisano Children’s Hospital of Southwest Florida, Susan had a long and rich career at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center (CCHMC), where she served for over 25 years as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner and in leadership positions in the NICU and the liver transplant program. From 1997 through 2012, Susan was the Senior Clinical Director of the Heart Institute at CCHMC.
