— Lee Memorial Health System is pleased to announce Lisa Looney, MSN, as the new Orthopedic Navigator. Lisa will work with the orthopedic patients of Lee Memorial Hospital. As the Orthopedic Navigator, Lisa will guide hip fracture and total joint patients through diagnosis, treatment and recovery. She will work directly with patients facilitating preoperative education, assessing their needs and connecting them with assistance in the hospital and during their transition home. Lisa will also be co-chairing the Lee Memorial Hospital Orthopedic Co-Management Quality Committee to improve the patient experience and reduce infection and readmission rates.
Lisa most recently served at St. Luke’s McCall Hospital in Idaho, where she was a Chief Nursing Officer for a critical access hospital. Her expertise is orthopedic surgery, working as a Certified Registered Nurse First Assistant and she is trained in Lean process improvement, which has helped medical providers save millions of dollars by optimizing facility operations.
Lisa earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of Alaska, Anchorage, and a master’s degree from the University of Mary, Bismarck. She has also earned various nursing certifications.
