Join Mitchell L. Cordova, PhD, Professor and Dean, College of Health Professions and Social Work, Florida Gulf Coast University for a talk about the passing of the Affordable Care Act (ACA), which represents the most significant overhaul of the United States health care system since the creation of Medicare and Medicaid in 1965. What do the provisions of the ACA really mean for health care in the United States? What is the status of the ACA given the pending lawsuits? What does it mean for educating future health care providers? Mitchell L. Cordova, PhD will explore these questions as well as discuss the implications of the ACA in Florida and locally in our community.
