July 1, 2014 @ 12:30 am - 1:30 pm

Diabetes is an epidemic, chronic medical problem that is a leading cause of blindness, kidney failure and amputations that requires extensive medical management as well as self-management. Diabetes is strongly correlated with cardiovascular disease, metabolic syndrome, as well as obesity and, as a group of medical problems, is mostly avoidable. Lifestyle is more of a determinant of these problems than is genetics; and it is lifestyle that is the cure for most of these problems.
