Healthy Life Series Focuses On Variety of Health Issues and
Mind & Body Program Combines Yoga and Mindfulness
Lee Health’s Wellness Center – Cape Coral is partnering with the Healthy Life Center at Coconut Point to host the Healthy Life Series. These educational programs and screenings are focused on a variety of health topics, including:

Aug. 14, 4-6 p.m., “10-Day Detox and Seeds Kick-Off” with Heather Auld, M.D.
Aug. 15, 11 a.m.-noon, “Step WiseLee – Fall Prevention Education”
Aug. 15, 5-6 p.m., “Achieving Overall Health: Exercise vs. Physical Activity”
Aug. 22, 4-4:45 p.m., “Can’t Sleep? Yoga Nidra May Be Your Answer”

“These types of educational programs, services and screenings have been so successful at the Healthy Life Center at Coconut Point, and we are excited to create a similar non-clinical resource destination in Cape Coral that will promote wellness, healthy lifestyles and chronic disease prevention,” explains Molly Grubbs, director, Healthy Life Center at Coconut Point. “We have many people who travel from Cape Coral and even Charlotte County to attend our programs in Estero, so we hope partnering with the Wellness Center – Cape Coral will be a welcome convenience. Whether at the Healthy Life Center at Coconut Point or now at the Wellness Center – Cape Coral, we aim to increase availability and access to health and wellness services by providing navigation services and scheduling assistance.”
In addition to the Healthy Life Series, the Wellness Center – Cape Coral is also launching a Mind & Body Program on Aug. 1. This program was developed to introduce the foundations and benefits of yoga, as well as mindfulness, stress relief and mental clarity. The program includes Hatha Yoga, Yogalates, Strength & Balance, Kids Yoga and others, and the classes start at 5:45 a.m. and run on the hour throughout the morning and two evening sessions are available. There also will be workshops and other events created to enhance individual practice.
“The Mind & Body Program offers a variety of classes, workshops and events that will help anyone—whether new to yoga or a seasoned student—build strength, balance and flexibility, while enhancing the mind-body connection,” explains Justin Klein, manager, Wellness Center – Cape Coral.
The Mind & Body Program is fee-based and open to Wellness Center members and nonmembers.
Lee Health’s Wellness Centers—located in Cape Coral and Fort Myers—are medically-based fitness centers, focused on health and disease prevention, and designed to meet the needs of the entire community. Degreed/certified fitness professionals and wellness staff provide guidance and support to help all members lead healthier lives.
