If you haven’t seen this message yet, you will as this campaign to help fight childhood obesity is spreading throughout Lee, Hendry and Glades Counties through pediatricians, schools, child care centers, WIC, and many other organizations under the Healthy Lee (formerly Fit Friendly) community umbrella. In March 2012 Lee County Health Department and Family Health Centers of Southwest Florida were selected along with 40 communities nationwide to participate in the Healthy Weight Collaborative to help further develop a community action plan promoting a healthy lifestyle.
